RSVP.com.au is owned by Fairfax Media. It claims to be Australia's largest singles online dating site and it certainly has won some major awards:

  • the site was rated No. 1 by visits in the Hitwise Lifestyle - Dating category for January - March 2007
  • awarded Best Social Networking Site in the NetGuide Australian Web Awards 2006

The Positive:

The Negative:

Initial impression of the site is design not impressive, with a newspaper feel to it which I guess reflects the site's owners.

The Verdict:

Many everyday people from all walks of life. This service will appeal to singles who are more interested in romance and a relationship, rather than getting involved in the more risque aspects of online dating.

Membership Types & Fees:

RSVP works on a different system to other sites. The system is based upon the purchase of a book of stamps. Each stamp enables you to communicate directly with another member for 30 days. During this time you have unlimited contact with either by email or instant messaging.

Cost of stamps varies from $3.95 to just over $9.00 depending on the quantity purchased.

You also have the option to send a song, which similarly varies from $2.00 to $2.50 per song to send.
